Terms of Use

Last updated: October 13, 2026

These Terms of Use explain the basic conditions for using Renal Care Planner, including its guides, planning tools, interactive features, downloadable resources, and other website content.

Renal Care Planner (“RCP”) is operated by Kevin Leoncio, an individual based in California. By using the site or buying a product from it, you agree to these Terms.

Educational purpose

Renal Care Planner provides general educational and organizational information related to dialysis and kidney care. It does not provide individualized medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services and does not replace guidance from a qualified healthcare professional. Please review the Medical Disclaimer before relying on site content for health-related decisions.

Using the information

Health information changes and individual treatment plans differ. Do not start, stop, delay, or change treatment, medications, fluid limits, dietary restrictions, dialysis settings, vascular-access care, or other medical care based solely on information from this site.

Tools, planners, and printables

Planners, worksheets, logs, checklists, interactive tools, and printables from Renal Care Planner (RCP) are intended for education, personal organization, and discussion. They are not medical records, prescriptions, treatment orders, nursing documentation, or official plans of care.

Patients and caregivers may print RCP patient-education resources for their own noncommercial use. Clinics, social workers, educators, and other organizations may print and distribute unmodified RCP patient-education resources for noncommercial educational use when the Renal Care Planner name, source information, copyright notices, and medical-boundary language remain intact. Commercial reproduction, resale, rebranding, white-labeling, modification for redistribution, or removal of RCP attribution requires permission unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise.

Purchases and digital products

Some RCP resources, such as the Chairside Starter Planner, are sold as digital downloads. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may change, but you pay the price shown when you place your order. Applicable sales tax may be added at checkout. Payments are processed by WooPayments (powered by Stripe) or PayPal.

Digital products are delivered as downloadable files after payment, with download links in your order confirmation. Nothing is shipped.

Buying a digital product gives you a personal, noncommercial license to download, print, and reprint the files for yourself or for someone you care for. You may not resell, share for download, post publicly, or otherwise redistribute paid files. The permission above for clinics and organizations to distribute RCP patient-education resources applies to free resources, not paid products.

Facility licenses. Buying the Chairside Clinic Edition gives one facility location a license, for 12 months from the purchase date, to print and photocopy it, give copies free of charge to that location’s patients and their caregivers, and use the staff guide with that location’s staff. A facility may not sell copies or charge patients for them, share the files with other locations or organizations, post them online, or remove the Renal Care Planner name, page footers, or medical-boundary wording. Copies already given to patients may be kept after the license ends. To keep printing new copies after 12 months, the license must be renewed. Licensing for more than one location is available through the Contact page.

If a file won’t download, open, or print correctly, contact RCP through the Contact page with your order number, and RCP will help fix the problem or send a working copy.

Refunds. Because digital products can be downloaded and kept right away, all sales are final and refunds are not offered for a change of mind. You will receive a refund if you were charged more than once for the same order, or if a file is defective and RCP can’t fix it or send a working copy. This does not affect any rights you have under applicable law.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, original Renal Care Planner text, graphics, branding, tools, planner content, and downloadable resources are owned by or licensed to Renal Care Planner and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, trademarks, quotations, images, and resources remain the property of their respective owners.

Acceptable use

You may not use the site to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, misrepresent RCP content as professional medical advice, remove required attribution from protected resources, or use site materials in a misleading or unlawful manner.

External services, affiliate links, and commercial relationships

Renal Care Planner may link to third-party websites, retailers, manufacturers, nonprofit organizations, healthcare organizations, advertisers, or service providers. External websites operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Some links may be affiliate links, and other commercial relationships may be disclosed on relevant pages. These relationships do not change the medical boundaries described in the Medical Disclaimer. The site may also show ads from Google AdSense or similar services. Ads are not endorsements, and RCP does not control the products or services they promote.

Site availability and changes

Renal Care Planner works to keep the site useful and available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent availability of any feature, or that every page will remain unchanged. Content, tools, features, and these Terms may be updated, corrected, replaced, or discontinued as the site develops.

No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its resources are provided on an informational, as-available basis without a guarantee that they are complete, error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular person’s medical or other circumstances. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be limited.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RCP and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or its resources. For a paid product, total liability for any claim related to that product is limited to the amount you paid for it. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
